Tain grinned to himself as he took the covers off his new window display. The new lightning bolt broom was in and cut with it's name and he was overjoyed, he had helped work on the broom with his business partner and now that the nimbus company had bought the idea from him, he had enough money and was now commissioned to design more brooms and broom items for them along with editing and updating their own brooms. Of course the first ever lightning bolt had gone to it's true creator and was a little faster and better to turn that it's siblings but that was because his business partner edited her own broom a little more. Tain grinned again as he stepped down from the window and moved over behind the counter and took out a new broom safety system he was working before hearing the shop bell ring and lifting his head to see who had come in

Annie waltzed into the shop, shaking out her fiery locks. Her nail, painted black, itched her scalp as she ran her fingers through her hair. Truthfully, she'd been looking for a nice place to relax and escape the summer heat, but once she had seen the old broom shop, she knew that it was her friend Nix that she wanted to see. Nix always talked about the place, about how she helped her partner run it. Truthfully, the brooms displayyed in the windows were beautiful specimens, and as a lover of Quidditch she could appreciate the aerodynamic design.

Straightening her bright blue t-shirt with the Muggle Superman logo on the front, she shoved her thumbs into the pockets of her black skinny jeans as she looked around the seemingly empty shop. Her red studded belt peeked out from just under the shirt. Annie's hazel eyes scanned the shop, surprised to come across the face of a rather handsome man. "Oh; hello," she said, waving her hand a little. "I was looking for Nix?"

Tain looked over towards the door and saw a girl walk in and he gave her a small smile and nod and then stood up straight behind the counter and then looked back to the girl as she spoke ,"nix? She's in school currently, well, wandering around the grounds atleast" he said with a laugh to himself. Nix was in and out of hogwarts just about every other night but seeing as she was only coming to Hogsmead, no one really minded. Add to that fact that Tain was now her legal guardian and she was pretty much welcome to come and go as she pleased, "she's not in at the moment, I believe there's a potion essay with her name on it that she's working hard on for her summer homework" he said in a more honest tone as he stepped out from behind the counter. "can I help you at all? I do run the shop after all" he said with a smile as he waved his hand around his small but popular shop

Annie smiled vaguely, finding his endearing and slightly awkward demeanor quite adorable. Still, she had to remind herself that he looked rather old, probably in his twenties. Still, it wasn't against the law to find someone older attractive, Annie reminded herself. "I see," she said, smiling a bit more as he came out from behind the counter. "Well, could you direct me towards some of your fastest, yet easiest to control brooms. Mine broke last year, I'm going to need a knew one soon so I can start practicing over the summer."

Tain smiled at the girl and then considered showing her one of the lightning bolts in stock but thought better of it, he's show her that later in the hope that she'd already picked a broom that was affordable. "certainly, but it'll come down to a choice. Steering for turns or balance and speed?" he said with a smile as he ducked out from behind his counter and then walked over to the side of the shop where brooms were placed in racks, like bicycle ranks according to nix but Tain had them all charmed so they could be taken so they could be seen and touched a little but were totality safe too

Annie considered the question for a moment, then smiled. "Balance and speed, definitely," she replied, pulling at her bright blue t-shirt. Her hand went to run through her bright red hair anxiously as she awaited the man to direct her towards the right broom. Qudditch was a wonderful thing, and she absolutely adored being a Chaser, but the love wouldn't do her any good without a proper broom to fuel her passion.

Tain gave a little smirk at the girls comment and so he ignored the wall on his right and then turned his body to wave a hand over the left rack with red tags on the end of each of the brooms, "well there are threes here that I think could work well, the new shooting star that came out last month" he said with a flick of his fingers over a sliver colored room. He then waved his other two hands over a chestnut broom and a very dark wood one ,"either that or the nimbus 2020 or the clean sweep 127" he said as he nodded to each broom he spoke to. He considered telling her about the new lightning bolt but didn't think that she had the cash so considered waiting until she showed interest in atleast one of the other brooms
